"Hi

And welcome to our website, at our April 2009 meeting the Whithorn Community Council voted unanimously to have this site built. I hope that all who use it will find it interesting and helpful, we the community council hope that other user groups also use the site for advertising future events and meetings that are happening throughout the year.
I find the 'Our Members' page a very good idea as it lets the community know who the community and local councillors are.
I also think it is a good idea for residents within the community who CANNOT attend our meetings, because they can keep up to date with events and local news. It is also great that they can contact the secretary directly to upload events and news to the site, also they can contact our office bearers via our contact page to raise issues for them at our monthly meetings.

After all we are the VOICE of the Town of Whithorn!!"
